First Day of Fall

For me Fall means, new beginnings, new clothes, and all things pumpkin!(insert pumpkin emoji here)

Wanted to mix things up with this warmISH weather we've been having in NYC. Chambray + Florals(so unlike me, but fell in love with the pleated style) + edgy, studded bag (typical). This chambray shirt I've had for years!, has always been a great piece that never goes out of style and puts a spin on a boring denim button down with these cut-out shoulders.

More NYFW!

I went for an edgier vibe with this look. Along with my love for fringe this season, leather has always been my go-to staple for fall.  With half my closet occupied with leather jackets, I am starting to build a collection of leather skirts! I was sold on this little number by Lucy Paris the moment I spotted it. With its studded detail and slim fit, it was a winner for me!

To play up the edge my new favorite heels definitely did the trick. Girls they look amazing, but they are a BITCH to put on! My first day wearing them, the laces kept falling down my leg, so I had to keep un-rapping and re-tying, which made for some funny moments outside the shows. I felt like a kindergartener all over again, learning how to tie her shoes, this time better dressed!

Of course I wanted to add some fall color to the mix, so opted for this burgundy top. Mind you I am NOT a turtleneck person, but this particular one was cropped and sleeveless, so I decided to roll with it. I was still a little hot in 88 degrees, but it definitely worked under my fringe cape jacket, which, I think really soften up this entire look.

NYFW Recap

Fashion week has been very exciting so far to say the least! I always get nervous, excited and stressed all at the same time, in a good way! Nervous about my actual approach to the shows (walking up to the site with cameras fashion at you is kind of an adrenaline rush, I’m just always worried they might capture the wrong moment, like me falling on my face!), excited to see all the new trends and meeting new people (this year I’m loving the mesh trend for spring, its always my go-to for a sporty chic look) and stressed when picking out outfits! (as usual I’m always a last minute shopper) All in all it ends up being so worth it in the end!

This year I’m all about fringe, pretty much every one of my looks this year has something fringe. It’s a great statement piece that just speaks for itself and I love how it can be paired with just about anything!

Here I went a little more boho, which is so not like me, but I embraced it knowing I could put my own twist on it. I paired this look with my newly favorite heels! The fact that they tie up the leg gives this look some real edge and really makes it stand out!

It's always fun to attend shows with your fellow fashion friends! (@living_in_heels)

So much fun chatting with The Zoe Report about my look!

I always love the fact that I meet someone new and inspiring every time I attend a show. This time around I had the pleasure of meeting Sheryl from Walking in Wonderland. She was so sweet!
